We recently had the pleasure of working with 2M Architecture on a complete kitchen remodel. With their excellent design sense, attention to detail and being a joy to work with our job was made easy. Regular meetings, open communication and professional approach kept the project on budget and on schedule. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking to remodel their home and look forward to being part of their “team” on another project.”

Project Description

This typical, mid-century San Francisco flat was in need of considerable updating — what seemed “modern” in 1955 was feeling a little dated in the 21st century. New floor-to-ceiling windows were installed on the south side to capture the inspiring views of San Francisco’s dramatic topography. To complete the modern feel, the Kitchen was completely renovated and opened to the Dining room, creating an open plan living arrangement. All the bathrooms were completely updated and since the Master Bedroom had a small closet that couldn’t be expanded, built-in cabinetry was added to provide more clothes storage and a cozy window seat.

Since the unit had a lower level that was mostly inaccessible from the main level, a new spiral stairway was added as a part of a full renovation of the lower level. This newly renovated space created another guest bedroom and play space for the unit.
